About This Program

The Canadian Dental Care Plan helps cover the cost of dental care for eligible Canadian residents who do not have access to dental insurance. The plan is available to Canadian residents with an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000 who do not have access to dental insurance through an employer, pension, or purchased privately. Coverage levels vary by income: families with income under $70,000 pay no co-payments, those with income between $70,000 and $79,999 pay 40% co-payment, and those with income between $80,000 and $89,999 pay 60% co-payment.

Am I Eligible?

To qualify for this program, you generally need to meet all of the following requirements:

  • Your citizenship status must be one of: Canadian citizen, permanent resident, protected person or refugee
  • Your annual income must be less than 90000
  • You must have filed your most recent tax return
